Hi Black eyez readers! I’m Gema and this week I play the role of the translator , so I’m going to identify the five main concepts of this week :
Garageband: It’s a tool that allows you to create music and podcasts , this tool is made by Apple and you can only use it if you have IOS or macOs .
Computational thinking: Is a new way of thinking that allows students to think differently about technologies allowing them to create it instead of just using it . Also CT fosters the development of problem-solving skills , logic and creativity.
Coding: Is a new educational trend by which they promote the teaching of programming languages to young children as it develops logical-systematic thinking . Besides coding will be very useful in the future and everyone will have to know how to handle it so if you introduce it to children at an early age they will be more successful.
The Hour of Code: This is a project that helps teachers from all parts of the world to get into coding . Also The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts. We as future teachers have used it trying some activities to know if in the future our students will be able to learn while having fun.
