WEEK 5: JAVIER LOZANO HERNANDEZ

Hi Black Eyez readers!, I am Javier and this week we are talking about eLearning Tools. An eLearning Tool is a program, app, or technology that can be accessed via an internet connection and enhance a teacher's ability to present information and a student's ability to access that information. Today I am going to evaluate the app: Trello. Trello is a project management tool that is easy to use, making getting organized a breeze. Trello’s method is based on the Kanban technique, which uses a clear visual order to manage the production processes.

Why it’s a great eLearning tool: eLearning projects usually require input from a range of stakeholders. Trello makes it easier to coordinate everyone’s input and track the status of different tasks.Trello offers many methods of project management, including cards, lists, boards and color-coding. Relevant team members can be effortlessly added to cards, and only those involved in that specific project will receive notifications. Trello works particularly well with different instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE.

According to the functionality, the tool can be scaled to accommodate any size class with flexibility to create smaller sub-groups or communities of practice, also it has a user-friendly interface and it is really easy for instructors and students to become skillfull with in a personalizad and intuitive manner. The technical suport and help documentation is readily available and aids users in troubleshooting tasks or solving problems experienced. On the other hand it has a negative aspect that it would be that it does not have a communicative channel so the people that are working there should talk using other e-tool.

At the accessibility aspects we found that the tool does meets the accessibility guidelines, also the tool is designed to address the needs of diverse users, their various literacies, and capabilities, thereby widening opportunities for participation in learning. Talking about the required equipment the proper use of the tool does not require equipment beyond what is typically available to instructors and students. The cost of use is completely free but there are some more advanced aspects that are limited that can't be used without paying but there is really no need to buy them in order to make a nice use of the tool.

After this, I really reccomend using this app, I have tried a few days and it is quite good to work and it works really well. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you have had some good holidays, but now it is time to start working again, see you next week with another post.
